Exercise Songs for Preschoolers Part 4

11/04/2015 10:45

Preschoolers are slightly more energetic than the toddlers, and therefore they have the tendency to exhibit more physical strength and enthusiasm for outdoor playground equipment. With a little bit more energy, preschoolers can have an advanced exercise routine along with cheerful exercise songs that not only challenge their physical abilities, but also let them develop profound mental capacities. Be low are some of the most joyful exercise songs that you can sing along with your preschoolers while exercising.

Fancy Exercise Dance

Before you begin, make sure that you and your kids get ample warm up. (see the warm up songs)

I can stomp my feet,

(Encourage your kids to stomp their feet)

I can wriggle my thumb,

(Encourage your kids to wriggle their thumbs)

I can pat my cheeks,

(Encourage your kids to pat their cheeks)

I can rub my tum,

(Encourage your kids to rub their tummy)

I can reach up high,

(Encourage your kids to reach up with their arms)

I can clap my hands,

(Encourage your kids to clap their hands)

I can wink one eye,

(Encourage your kids to wink one eye)

And do the fancy dance,

Fancy dance wriggle,

(Encourage your kids to wriggle with the tune)

Fancy dance move,

Fancy dance squiggle,

(Encourage your kids to squiggle)

Fancy dance groove,

Wriggle from the bottom,

(Encourage your kids to wriggle their legs)

Wriggle to the top,

(Encourage your kids to wriggle their arms and shoulders)

Fancy dance wriggle and

(Encourage kids to Wriggle arms and legs)

Fancy dance stop!

This song will give kids the heavy  work out that can also be used as a warm up routine. Exercise songs can sometimes be more effective than the activity on commercial playground equipment or any other play structure for that matter.

Here’s another song that you can use with the same set of exercise routine.

Rhythm of the Sway (by The Battersby Duo)

Dancing makes you feel so free
Raise up your arms and dance with me
Turn around and swirl this way
You’ve got the rhythm of the sway

March in place and feel the beat
You just can’t help but move your feet
Clap your hands and come and play
You’ve got the rhythm of the sway

You’ve got the rhythm of the sway
Dancing makes you feel this way
Kick your feet it makes you smile
Spin around and show your style

Now let’s see what you can do
Shake your head and count to two
Move it now and every day
Move to the rhythm of the sway

You’ve got the rhythm of the sway
Dancing makes you feel this way
Kick your feet it makes you smile
Spin around and show your style

You can define your own set of routine for the above two songs. Just remember that every verse should create maximum physical work for your child so that he can get the workout he needs for physical strength.
